Welcome back to Salvaggio’s Light, the epic contemporary romance series delving into the life of Rafe Salvaggio and the many people in her life—from family and friends to lovers and enemies.

Get ready to settle back into this drama-filled romance entwined with comedy, lust, danger, thrills, regret, tragedy, suspense, and love with Cyprian the Fair, the next step in the journey.

Rafe Salvaggio took precautions to protect herself from being placed in a medical facility against her will. Now those precautions have come to light and the fallout causes chaos abound. Rafe’s childhood friend Gabri has taken Rafe under his care and made the decision to get her home to Italy.

Eden Kingsley must find the courage and the strength to step out of her comfort zone and follow her heart—even if it means flying thousands of miles away to an unfamiliar place. Her daughter Bronte is growing up fast and needs Rafe in her life. Eden must unravel the truth about Rafe’s affair and travels to New York to confront the past.

Julia Hawthorn is helping Eden with everything from taking care of Bronte to getting through the trauma of Rafe being whisked away by Gabri. She is methodically infiltrating Eden’s life with the goal of keeping Eden for herself. If she can’t persuade Eden not to travel to Italy, she will accompany her to protect what little ground she’s gained. She is not afraid of confronting Rafe and spinning the narrative to get what she wants.

You won’t want to miss any of the action in this epic drama as Cyprian the Fair, book nine of the Salvaggio’s Light serial, continues the journey of this epic contemporary romance.

I was lucky enough to ask C.L. a couple of questions about her recent release!

Why did you want to write this book, specifically?
I think to answer this I have to talk about the entire Salvaggio’s Light series as you need to read it from the beginning, starting with Shattered Paradise. I wanted to see a drama-based well developed story with a ton of personalities that was more than just a romance but still had all the elements of an epic drama. I wanted a fast paced character driven story with a MC’s who you loved to hate but in the end could find redemption if they chose to. I couldn’t find an in-depth story like this at the time I started writing the series (years ago) so I began the project. Originally, I thought it would be a screenplay but was convinced to turn it into a book series instead.

Cyprian the Fair – Book 9, is a big turning point for the characters. The MC’s growth and understanding of each other is imperative if they are to move forward. Since the beginning of the serial, (Shattered Paradise –Salvaggio’s Light Book 1), the fundamental element of trust has been in flux. Each character has to come to terms with what they want their future to look like and make a decision to either fight, and be on their way to redemption, or continue as very lost souls. Making internal personal changes can be hard, especially when dealing with some of the difficult issues the characters were dealt in life. This is the beginning of that specific journey.

What do you like best about it?
I like the introduction of a new stage for the MC’s. The new stage in Italy brings to life characters that were only mentioned in the earlier books. Now they get life and personality breathed into them and its fun to finally give them a chance to be introduced to the reader.

Can you tell the readers something about Cyprian the Fair that they might not know just from reading the book?
I’m not sure if this is what you mean… This book in the Salvaggio’s Light serial takes the characters out of their familiar surroundings of sunny California and places them in Florence, Italy. I have a special love for this city as I studied art there in college. It was a very defining experience for me as a student and as a world citizen. In the book you will find mentions of attractions and places I visited – a lot in some cases – as well as a park close to where I lived at the time. I would walk to art school every day and on the way home I would pick up wine and a meal.

A few of things I describe that happened in Rafe’s childhood actually were things I witnessed in Italy… Can you guess which things?

In ten words or less, tell us why we should buy this book?
Angst, drama, redemption, comedy, love, sex, anger, fear, it’s all there…
